07-08 WRESTLING BANQUET AND AWARDS

CHS Wrestlers celebrated the 2007-08 season with a banquet at Northwinds Supper Club in Eden last Sunday night.
After the meal Coach Peterson handed out varsity letters to 18 wrestlers.

Winning special awards were:

Parker Peterson (10) & Jared Lindsley (11) for Most Improved Varsity Wrestler.

Jareb Zunker (11) won the Most Improved JV Wrestler Award and Ryan Lindsley (9) was voted Most Improved Freshmen Wrestler.

Zach Wetzel (10) and Tommy Beck (11) were the Most Dedicated Varsity Wrestlers.

Anthony Bauer (11) and Greg Blatz (10) shared the Most Dedicated JV Wrestler award.

Chet Floyd (9) was voted Most Dedicated Freshmen Wrestler.

Payden Salm (9) was voted Most Valuable Freshmen Wrestler.

James Hawley (9) won the Most Valuable JV Wrestler award.

State Champion Billy Mayer (12) was the Varsity's Most Valuable Wrestler.

Senior Wes Bengel won the Doc Huspen Award.

BILLY MAYER WINS STATE TITLE!

Billy defeats Trevor Spude of Luxemburg-Casco by the score of 3-1 in the Finals. Congrats to Billy for a great season and career at CHS! Billy finishes his career with 110 wins.
